SierraRose Farms was established in 2001, offering riding lessons, programs for Girl Scouts, Birthday Parties and various other functions. In 2006 we added Saturday and week long camps which are still very successful.
In those programs we witnessed time and again the positive way in which our horses changed individual’s lives - especially the miniature horses. These non intimidating horses are the perfect fit for those with mental or physical challenges.
Our teaching method produces results which transcend the basics of horse knowledge. We begin to see confidence in the timid, verbalization from the silent, and empowerment from the abused and the shy. Furthermore, stress and anxiety are brushed away as they groom; leadership skills are built, and self esteem & confidence are developed as they forge this new person-horse relationship.

We offer a wide variety of programs for specialized needs. From programs for women or children who have been emotionally scared or physically abused, to children with special needs like ADHD, Autism and Aspergers. Or for those who suffer from depression or anxiety. Through working with our horses, these individuals realize a sense of identity and peace that is missing in their lives.
